The colder months strip the moisture from our skin, and our usage of creams, moisturizers and oils increase.
While, I have nothing against store-bought cosmetics, I indulge in make-it-at-home projects and successfully come out with better results giving products.
In 2018, my husband had a visit to Shanghai, and as a present he bought two jars of dried rose buds and dried lavender buds for me.
I have used them for flavoring teas and water but had to think of other ways in which I can use those precious flowers.
Lavender is extremely therapeutic flower with antioxidant, antidepressant and calming powers on skin and mind. Just a few drops of good quality lavender essential oil on your regular creams, room fragrance diffuser, bath water or on pillows before sleep does wonders in restoring your balance in life.
And, so came the idea of making a body oil infused with lavender flowers.
I made close to 200ml of infused oil. You can double or triple the recipe.
After months of preparation, I can now share my DIY Lavender Body Oil!
